1947 'Popular Science' Tatra T87 Review

As I have said repeatedly, if you really want to understand whether Tatras were safe, you need to go to the source material - contemporary reviews. Popular Science can't really be called a reliable publication but still - if the Tatra T87 really had a wartime reputation as a Nazi killer you would expect that this would be common knowledge in 1947 - two years after the end of the war! As Czechoslovakia was drifting into the Communist Bloc at this time, a US publication like Popular Science would have keenly emphasied the Tatra's negative handling, if there was truth to the rumour. Instead, the Tatra T87's handling is described thus:
"A low center of gravity gives the car excellent stability, knee action provides a greater degree of comfort, and hydraulic brakes for all four wheels increase the margin of safety."
Another case of the dog that did not bark.
