1942 Tatra T87 Stationary Engine Manual and Parts List

It does seem rather strange but Tatra's T87 V8 engine was put to many uses during the Second World War. One of those uses was a stationary engine for water pumps and electrical generators. Tatra's engines were low compression and could be detuned down for such purposes. These engines would continue to manufactured for such purposes right through into the 1950s. Tatra's flat four 2 litre engine from the T600 Tatraplan and the V8 from the Tatra T603 would also be sold as stationary industrial engines.
