Tatra T77 Collected Customer Letters
The Tatra T77 was introduced in 1934 and remained in production until late 1935. Each car was coach-built in the Tatra factory, which resulted in some minor variations between each car. As the new car was very experimental, Tatra sought feedback from owners. Many owners responded and wrote back to the company with their comments. This publication by Tatra includes facsimile copies of the owner's letters. English translations are included at the end of the booklet. These letters (without the English translation) can also be found in the four volume official Tatra Archive publication.
You will note in the letters that there are no comments about tail-heaviness, swing axle instability, or handling issues that modern writers talk about.
Thanks to Gary Cullen for sharing at Tatra Streamline.
