A collection of Tatra videos and links
Here is an interesting collection of YouTube clips about Tatra cars. There are surprisingly few on the net.
Tatra T87
Jay Leno is very amusing and he does know a lot about cars, but on this occasion he repeats all the usual nonsense about Tatra's killing Nazis (total BS). He also doesn't do himself any favours here claiming his car is a 1938 example as all of us in the Tatra community know who he purchased his 1948 Tatra T87 from. It was a very well known car and everyone knows when it was really built, but... there you go.
Tatra T97
More nonsense in the description about Volkswagens.

My Tatraplan comes home
Some 18 months ago I placed my 1952 Tatraplan on temporary display at the Motor Museum of Western Australia for six months. Well, the museum were happy to keep her on longer and I was happy to have some more garage space, but in March we agreed I'd take her home so they could display some new vehicles. I intended to get a lift over to the museum and drive her home, but the week before pick up I was informed the petrol pump was broken, so I had her trucked back to my place.
Ray's Recovery Towing delivered her safe and sound.

The museum guys did a magnificent job polishing her up. She looks lovely.
I suspected the fuel pump problem wasn't a real thing. The car has little quirks and if you aren't aware of them, she can be challenging to start. I checked the fuel line, fuel pump, manually pumped the fuel and then started her up. She fired up first pop! Great news. Nevertheless, I noted that the fuel pump was leaking so it was a correct decision to have her trucked.
I dismantled the fuel pump, cleaned it up, made a new paper seal and resealed it. That stopped the leak. Then I gave the car a once over. Brake fluid was good, engine oil was good, gearbox oil was good - and I had suspected that might have been leaking, but no - and once I was satisfied, I took her for a quick test drive. All good.
Sunday 2nd April 2023 I took her on her first post-museum outing to Classic Cars and Coffee.
